What This Course Covers
Anyone can be affected by a mental health condition. A family member, a friend, a colleague or even yourself.
This course will teach learners a detailed understanding of a range of the most common mental health conditions and the skills to act appropriately.
Participants of this course will become certified First Aiders for Mental Health and can be a point of contact in the workplace to help and support those who require it.
This course expands on the course ‘Awareness of First Aid for Mental Health’ and develops a comprehensive Mental Health Action Plan that enables participants to provide their peers with full support and guidance for a suspected condition. Learners will be able to refer them to professional help and support them during professional assistance.
This course also covers the effects of drugs and alcohol and gives learners the skills and knowledge to assist employers in creating a positive mental health culture to support their staff in the workplace.

Bookings up to 4 individuals
£130 + VAT per person
Groups of 5 – 8
£600 + VAT per group
Groups of 9 – 12
£800 + VAT per group
Qualification
Your ‘First Aid for Mental Health’ certificate will be valid for 3 years from the date that you train. Should you wish to renew your certificate you will need to attend another 6 hour, First Aid for Mental Health course.
Should you require additional FAA & Ofqual external accreditation, we can provide this on any of our private courses.
As FAA accreditation is processed externally, there is an additional £15.00 surcharge for each attendee processed in this way.
Private Groups
We are happy to run any of our first aid training courses as private groups at either your venue in South Wales or one of our training centres in Cardiff.
We can run a private course for any size of group, we just have to charge our small group price.
There are no additional fees for us to come out to you as long as some parking is available for your instructor. All of our normal prices apply and you can see a full list of these on our prices page. – Click here
