Health and Safety law requires employers working with infants and young children to ensure appropriate first aid provision is in place.
This comprehensive one-day Emergency Paediatric First Aid course covers a wide range of childhood first aid emergencies. Through highly practical, scenario-based training, participants gain the confidence and competence to respond effectively to incidents involving babies and young children, including situations that may occur during outings or activities away from the usual setting.
Successful completion of the course awards an Emergency Paediatric First Aid qualification that exceeds the statutory requirements of the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981.
All training is delivered by highly qualified instructors with real-world emergency experience, ensuring high-quality, relevant instruction.
Please note that for teachers and childminders, the six-hour, one-day course only partially meets Ofsted and Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) requirements. Full compliance requires completion of the 12-hour, two-day Paediatric First Aid course. These courses are run consecutively, allowing straightforward progression to the second day if needed.
If you are unsure which qualification is appropriate for your role, please contact your governing body or speak with our team for guidance.
