What This Course Covers
Level 1 Award in Awareness of First Aid for Mental Health
Anyone can be affected by a mental health condition, whether that is you, a friend, a family member or a colleague.
Our mental health awareness course is suitable for people from all backgrounds as it equips participants with the skills to spot a potential mental health problem and how to start a conversation and direct a person towards professional help.
This short course is open to anyone and is a great introduction to first aid for mental health.
At the end of your course, you will have to complete a multiple choice question paper. There will be no external assessors and you will earn a qualification in ‘Awareness of First Aid for Mental Health’ if you succeed in the assessment.
All of our instructors are highly skilled and experienced in handling real life emergencies and they impart this knowledge in their courses.

Qualification
Your ‘Award in Awareness of First Aid for Mental Health’ qualification will be valid for 3 years from the date that you finish your training. Should you wish to renew your certificate you will need to attend another 4 hour, Award in Awareness of First Aid for Mental Health course.
Should you require additional FAA & Ofqual external accreditation, we can provide this on any of our courses.
As FAA accreditation is processed externally, there is an additional £15.00 surcharge for each attendee you wish to regulate.

Private Groups
We are happy to run any of our first aid training courses as private groups at either your venue or one of our training centers in Cardiff. We can run a private group for any number of people, we just have to charge our small group price as a minimum.
